Nitra Villa

An entrepreneurial couple, visiting the States often, loved the way northwest contemporary residential architecture responded to the landscape and its use of natural materials. With Nitra, Slovakia sharing a similar latitude to Seattle, they sought out KGA in an effort to bring a new, site specific architectural aesthetic to Nitra. Their direction was simple: no gables, must be asymmetrical, love curves, engage the landscape, and lots of natural light and windows.
